Chief Executive Officer: Marinis Stratopoulos
Marinis Stratopoulos was appointed Executive Member of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd in July 2019. In February 2015, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NBG (Cyprus) Ltd.
He also held the position of General Manager of International Activities of the National Bank of Greece SA from April 2014. In October 2018 and in addition to his role as Head of International Activities and for a predefined period that was completed by July 2019, he also assumed the responsibility for overseeing the Group Real Estate function. From August 2010 until December 2014 he served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of NBG’s subsidiary in Romania, Banca Romaneasca S.A. From February 2007 until August 2010 he served as CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Serbian subsidiary Vojvodjanska Banka A.D. During 2005–2007 he served as General Manager at the National Bank of Greece A.D. Beograd. From 2001 to 2005 he served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Egnatia Bank (Romania) S.A. and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Egnatia Leasing (Romania) S.A., while in the period January–June 2005 he was Deputy General Manager at Egnatia Bank S.A. During the years 1999–2000 he held managerial positions in Piraeus Bank S.A. and Prime Bank S.A. The period 1993-1999 he served at Xiosbank S.A. as Director in the Corporate Banking Department.
He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stopanska Banka A.D. Skopje and Member of the Board of Directors of CAC Coral Ltd Cyprus.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American College of Greece (Deree College) and a Master of Science in Finance from Lancaster University UK.
