Chief Executive Officer: George Agioutantis

Mr. Agioutantis (George) is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive member of the BoD of National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd since March 2023. Prior to his current role he has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Board member of NBG Bank Malta Ltd, as well as the Chairman of the Board of NBG (Malta) Holdings Ltd, whilst before he held the role of Head of Business Strategy & Corporate Development at National Bank of Greece since 2014.

Mr. Agioutantis started his career in 1995 in New York (USA) in investment banking/structured finance with bulge-bracket firms (UBS, Citibank) and upon his return in Greece spent 12+ years in financial services advisory / consulting primarily working at Big-4 firms (EY, Arthur Andersen) and an additional 5+ years in commercial leadership positions with FinTech companies covering the EMEA region.

His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Finance and International Business from New York University (Leonard N. Stern School of Business) and a Master in Business Administration degree in Strategy & Operations from ALBA Graduate Business School (ACG).

General Manager & CCO, COO: Ioannis Tzimos

Mr. Tzimos was appointed as General Manager of Credit of National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd., in August 2013.

Since 1984, whereas he joined National Bank of Greece, he served in various fields of activities of the Group, such as Head of Credit & Corporate Division as well as International Credit. He participated in Credit Committees of Subsidiary Credit Institutions of the Group abroad, and he assisted as an Executive Consultant of the Group, in matters of credit such as Project & Structure Finance.

Further, as a Credit Executive his field of expertise focused on the financing of Technical and Construction Corporations, as well as financing Renewable Energy Production Projects, Infrastructure Projects and Real Estate Development, in Greece and abroad. Additionally, he participated in due diligence assignments for the acquisition of other financial institutions, in countries of Southeast Europe and Africa.

Mr. Tzimos holds a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration, from Athens University of Economics & Business and a Postgraduate Degree of Banking Management from National Kapodistrian University of Athens. Mr. Tzimos is a member of Economical Chamber of Greece.
