Member of the Board of Directors of National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd

Ernestos Panayiotou was appointed as a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) Ltd in May 2024.

In May 2019, he joined the NBG Group where he currently holds the position of General Manager of Transformation, Strategy & International Activities and is a member of the Executive Committee.

Before rejoining the NBG Group in 2019, he was Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he worked during the periods 2001-2005 and 2012-2018. At McKinsey, he focused on serving financial institutions in Greece, Cyprus, the USA and the Middle East on strategy, transformation and risk management topics. During the period of 2006-2011, he worked for the NBG Group as strategy advisor.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Oxford and a Master in Public Administration & International Development from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
